i recently started using my hero 7 black again and found out that gopro now has a software program that allowes you to use your cam as a webcam. however when i started the program it said it only supports a 8 black or higher. so i want to know is there a patch coming for the 7 (aswel as older models) to make the compatible with the webcam
No, it says "Webcam Mode" is supported on the Hero 9, 8, 7, 6, 5, 4. The Webcam APP only supports the Hero 8 and newer. For using older GoPros in Webcam mode, you need to have a HDMI cable and a HDMI capture card.
