methnen • 8 yr. ago. I wouldn't say the GTI rocks in the snow. It's roughly as good as any other front wheel drive car is that has similarly sized wheels and similar tires. Snow performance is all about traction which is all about how many wheels you have getting power and how those wheels are equipped.
